Yemen, FAO discuss agricultural programs

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Ahmad al-Maisary discussed on Tuesday with Representative of Food and Agriculture Organization Ashraf al-Hawamida implementation of agricultural programs in Yemen.

Al-Maisari praised the great role of the organization in implementing a number of programs to improve agricultural sector and boosting enlightenment on cultivation culture among farmers, confirming transferring international organizations to Aden for easing communication with the government.

He confirmed on providing all needed facilitations to ease activities of the organization for providing improved food seeds and agricultural production across Yemen.

"The organization seeks to enhance exchanged confidence with the ministry for implementing a number of agricultural activities helping in meeting farmers' needs for providing food security and collecting animal wealth, and programs related to improving living conditions to families,"said FAO's Representative.
