GENEVA-SABA
The Kingdom of the Netherlands revised on Friday evening its draft resolution to the UN Human Rights Council which calls for an international commission of enquiry to be formed to monitor human rights situation in Yemen.
The President of the HRC in Geneva announced the Netherlands' retreat.
The revision favors a unified UN resolution that provides the National Committee for Investigating into Alleged Human Rights Abuses with technical assistance, capacity building assistance, and a group of int'l experts who will help the Committee improve its functions to achieve the best outcomes.
The Arab draft resolution, which comes under the 10th chapter that supports the National Committee for Investigating into Alleged Human Rights Abuses, was approved as a unified UN resolution.
