MARIB-SABA
King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid is (KSrelief) is done rehabilitating 40 children who had been recruited as soldiers and/or traumatized by the exposure to war horrors, and is now organizing entertainment programs for them ahead of their integration back into the society.
Such activities are conducted by the Protection of the Most Vulnerable Sector of KSrelief.
Most of the children are former soldiers in the ranks of the Saleh-Houthi militias fighting the government in Marib and Aljawf. They have been demobilized and subjected to psychological rehab and reeducation, and the entertainment step prepares for their integration back into their communities.
On Friday they were taken in a trip to Belqees Throne, Marib Great Dam and other historical sites. After their reintegration, KSrelief will rehabilitate and reintegrate 40 other children from Taiz and Amran.
Large numbers of the rebel militias' fighters are children. They are recruited or abducted into the militias' ranks and conditioned to become fearless killers.
