Preident Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi has phone called the national U-16 football team to congratulate them over their qualification to the AFC finals. Hadi hailed this honorable victory saying "it reflects the Yemenis' defiance of the misery of war and ability to achieve victory thanks to strong resolve."

Hadi ordered a YR 15.5 million reward for the team and the accompanying mission.
