Public prosecutor investigators discuss HR abuse complaints

The Public ProsecutorDr. Ali al-Awash discussed complaints and claims of humanrights abuses with the national committee in charge of investigating abuse allegations.
The committee had collected complaints and grievances from the families of persons who were allegedly subjected to rights abuse.
Among the participants in the meeting were the chief of the Penal Prosecution Mohammed Saleh and the chief of Aden Appeals Prosecution, KaherMostafa.
The participants emphasized the importance of the Public Prosecution's crucial role in addressing those complaints and preventing any future abuses.
The Public Prosecutor made mention of the challenges/difficulties facing judges in general and prosecution members in particular.
He said: "The Public Prosecution has prepared a full folder about the detainees and prisoners and their places of detention and is continuously examining those folders."
He said that since Ramadan, the Prosecution has set free 455 prisoners who were not accused of major crimes.
