Investigation Committee interviews families of detainees

The Joint Investigation Committee headed by its Chairman the Minister of Justice Jamal Omar and its dep. chairman the Dep. Minister of Human Rights has interviewed mothers and relatives of the detainees and forcibly disappeared persons in jails.

The Committee revealed to the interviewees the nature of its mission and tasks.

The Committee emphasized the interest of President Abdu R.

Mansour Hadi and Prime Minister bin-Daghr in protecting their detained relatives against any abuses and addressing any previous abuses in a legal way.

Jamal made clear that justice will be the premise of ruling and that courts have fortunately started to get back to work and so will handle these cases as it should.

The Committee heard details from the interviewees oral and written.

This committee was formed to operate in the government-controlled areas. It was set up by a resolution from the Prime Minister and it is composed of officials from the competent ministries and other government agencies.
