UNICEF held here on Wednesday a meeting with a number of Yemeni journalists and media men and discussed with them the significance of media on House-to House Campaign for protection against cholera.
The campaign is being carried out in Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Dhale, Hadhramout, Shabwah, Mahra and Socotra.
UNICEF's Representative in Aden Saif al-Namer made it clear that the targeted houses have reached 133562 to be visited by 562 teams of 8110 volunteer health staff. 945 thousand people in 97 districts will be educated on protection against cholera.
He confirmed that the aim of the meeting is creating joint relationship between different media outlets and the UNICEF for educating society on protection against cholera by using suitable cleaning means.
He noted that the campaign is being carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Population and health offices in the provinces.
