GHAYL BIN YAMEEN – SABA

The Emirati Red Crescent (ERC) of the United Arab Emirates has distributed food aid to the destitute and income-limited households in Raydat al-Maarah area of Ghayl bin Yameen district of Hadhramout province.

The aid is part of the ERC's humanitarian assistance campaign to the rebellion-afflicted Yemen.

The Director General of Ghay bin Yameen, Saleh Al-Doeweilah, and the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the UAE for providing this badly needed food aid.

Yemen is largely edging closer to famine and disasters of other forms, as a result of the Saleh-Houthi militias disrupting of Yemen's internationally sponsored transition to a democracy by a gradual forceful takeover from late 2014 that evolved into a full-fledge coup d'état in early 2015.
