Arab Coalition appoints successor to spokesman Assiri

The command of the Arab Coalition backing Yemen's government against the Saleh-Houthi rebel militias has appointed a new spokesman, a successor to Major General Ahmed Assiri.
Group captain Torki bin Saleh al-Maliki was appointed an official spokesman for the Coalition and he has set about his duties," the command said in a statement.
The command affirmed its resolve to maintain a transparent communication police and to provide the necessary information about the military operations aiming at restoring the state in Yemen.
The spokesman will conduct press conferences when the need arises and maintain contact with local and international media outlets.
