The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. The Yemeni army has pounded the sites of the coup militias in the eastern fighting zone of Taiz and foiled their infiltration in al-Makha and Maqbanah in the west.

"By shelling the army destroyed two of the militias' tanks that were stationed in Asallal mount that overlooks the Republican Palace and Ceremonials Camp, east of the city," www.september.net, the Army's Morale Guidance news website reported.

The militias struck the army outposts and several neighborhoods in the east of the city; Asakaniya, Thaabat, Aljmhooori, Salah, Adhabab and Beer Basha.

An unsuspecting civilian was also gunned down by a sniper stationed in the militia-occupied Mohammed Ali Othman School.
