[07/06/2017 09:47]

RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Local Administration the chairperson of the Supreme Committee for Relief, Abdurraqeeb Fatah called on the UN organizations to use government-controlled seaports such as Aden seaport.

He said such seaports have all the necessary equipment and facilities to receive the organization's shipments.

Minister Fatah cited the signing today of an agreement between WFP and Aden Gulf Seaports Corporation whereby the former leased a space within Mo'alla seaport to receive its arriving aid shipments to Yemen.

"The use of Aden seaports will contribute largely to facilitating the provision and delivery of relief aid to a number of provinces from the temporary capital Aden, such as the province of Taiz which has been under Houthi siege for about two years," said the minister.
