Yemen denounces OCHA's meetings for discussing relief projects

Riyadh (Saba)- Minister of the Local Administration Abdul-Raqeeb Fatah on Tuesday denounced secret meetings held in Ibb governorate by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen to discuss relief projects for Taiz governorate.
Fatah, who are also on charge of the High Relief Committee, held the coordinator of humanitarian affairs in Yemen fully responsible for such behaviors "which do not commit to recognized relief standards", calling the local authorities and civil society organizations to reject such secret meetings.
Fatah expressed the government's rejection to any results of these meetings which are arranged without the participation of the High Relief Committee and relevant authorities.
He also demanded the local and international organizations to work on the basis of transparency regarding the preparation of humanitarian projects provided to Yemen.
