Governor of Lahj Major General Ahmad Turki discussed Monday with a team from the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), headed by the Deputy Director of the Program's office in Aden Rashid Hammad the latest developments in the governorate’s humanitarian situation amid escalating challenges facing thousands of poor and vulnerable households due to the reduction in aid volumes and the exclusion of a number of eligible cases from the Program's beneficiary rolls in recent periods.

King Salman's center sends further relief to Yemen

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Activities sent Tuesday relief caravan to Yemen composed of 40 trucks loaded with 865 tons of dates and 7 tons of cloths.
In a ceremony held for launching the process and attended by supervisor of the center Abddullah al-Rabi'a, Minister of Local Administration the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdurraqeeb Fath valued the role of King Salman Center in providing relief aid to Yemen.
The center has played significant role in helping Yemeni people and easing its suffering and the government and Yemeni people highly value efforts exerted by brothers in Saudi Arabia in helping Yemeni people, said Fath.
"King Salman Center has fingerprints in all Yemeni governorates as relief aid reached most of them," said Fath.
