Parliament delegation reviews rebel violations in Dhaka

Yemeni Parliament Delegation, participating in the Inter- Parliament Union (IPU) Conference, which is being held here, met Saturday with different counterpart delegations.

Headed by Vice Speaker Mohammad al-Shaddadi, the delegation reviewed conditions in Yemen and continuous violations by Houthi-Saleh's militias.

With direct support from Iran, the militia is intentionally carrying out terrorist acts and practicing apartheid, said the delegation.

The delegation also met with Chairman of the IPU and its Secretary General and discussed with them Houthi-Saleh's coup against the legal authority and their aggression against the president and the parliament. The closure of the Parliament in Sana'a and arresting MPs and threatening of killing made the president to transfer the Parliament sessions to the interim capital of Aden.

The delegation invited the IPU's Head and Secretary General to visit Aden, where the new location for the Parliament is being prepared. The Head and Secretary General of IPU accepted the invitation and confirmed realizing peace in Yemen.

The delegation then participated in Arab Parliamentary Group's meeting in the IPU. The meeting discussed Arab concerns led by Yemeni issue.

The delegation affirmed peaceful solutions to Yemen's crisis in accordance with local, regional and international foundations topped by the GCC Initiative, the National Dialogue Conference's outcomes and the UN Security Council Resolutions, especially, Resolution No.2216.

The Arab Group confirmed its support to Yemen, its unity and legal authority of President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi and expressed rejection to Houthi-Saleh's coup.
