Foreign Ministers of GCC states stress positions on Yemen crisis

Riyadh (Saba)-Foreign Ministers of GCC states have confirmed the GCC firm stances and resolutions on the crisis in Yemen, welcoming the issuance of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2342 under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations which stressed the national, regional and international key points to reach a reconciliation in Yemen.

The council also denounced the target of populated neighborhoods of Saudi Arabia and Yemen by the Houthi-Saleh Militias.

The ministerial council stressed the importance of protecting the international navigation in Bab El-Mandeb, interests of the countries bordering the Red Sea and the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Yemenis.

It also called the Houthi-Saleh Militias to commit to peace, resume talks under the auspices of the United Nations in accordance with the GCC-brokered Initiative, the outcomes of the National Conference and the UN resolutions on Yemen.
