BEIRUT- SABA
Yemen’s Ambassador to Lebanon Abdullah Aal-Duais discussed Thursday with Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos latest developments in Yemen and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the media sector.
During the meeting, Ambassador al-Duais reviewed the latest political developments in Yemen, highlighting what he described as Iran’s operation of two flights and its attempt to operate a third flight without obtaining prior approval from the Yemeni authorities, as required under established procedures.
He said the actions constituted a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty as well as international laws and established norms.
The discussions also addressed threats issued by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia to impose a blockade on Saudi ports and target navigation through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, describing the threats as serving Iran’s agenda aimed at undermining security and stability in the region.
For his part, Minister Morcos expressed Lebanon’s strong condemnation of Iranian violations and the Houthi attacks against the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He reaffirmed Lebanon’s support for all measures taken by the Yemeni government and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to safeguard their sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression or violation.
