Bahrain Reaffirms Support for Yemen's Unity, Sovereignty
[21/07/2026 04:33]

MANAMA – SABA
The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist threats issued by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Bahrain stated that these threats, along with the false claims, incitement, and irresponsible escalation they contain, undermine regional security and stability and pose a serious threat to maritime navigation, international trade, and innocent civilians.

It described these actions as a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

In a statement published by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Bahrain's unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of Bahrain's own security.

The ministry also reiterated Bahrain's full support for all legitimate measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.

The ministry emphasized the importance of coordinated international efforts to protect maritime security in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and other vital waterways, in order to ensure the security of energy supplies and the uninterrupted flow of global trade.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also renewed Bahrain's appreciation for the diplomatic, humanitarian, and development efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Yemeni crisis.

It noted that such efforts are based on the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216, with the aim of preserving Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while fulfilling the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
