National Coalition of Parties Announces Full Support for Chairman of Leadership Council, Measures Taken to Defend National Sovereignty
[14/07/2026 04:28]

ADEN - SABA
The National Coalition of Political Parties (NCPP) announced their full support for His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and their strong backing of all the actions taken by the PLC and the Yemeni government to defend national sovereignty.

The Coalition said in a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) "The serious escalation carried out by the Iranian regime and executed by the Houthi terrorist militias, through their insistence on violating the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and imposing a reality outside the state institutions, in blatant defiance of the constitution, Yemeni legitimacy and UN Security Council resolutions represents a direct aggression against national sovereignty and once again reveals the complete subordination of the Houthi terrorist militias to the Iranian expansionist project, at the expense of Yemen's security and stability".

The NCPP reiterated the full support of all political parties, constituencies and for the political leadership, armed forces and security agencies until the state is restored and the coup is eliminated,…"

The Coalition stated that the insistence of the Iranian regime and the Houthi terrorist militias on escalating tensions and their rejection of all initiatives, represents a serious undermining of the peace process and requires the political leadership and the international community to urgently reassess the whole path and not allow it to be used as a cover to rearm the militias.

The Coalition considered this unacceptable Houthi terrorist escalation a serious breach of the country's atmosphere and security and grants the Yemeni armed forces full right, according to the constitution, the law, and the United Nations Charter, to defend the nation's sovereignty.

The NCPP held the Iranian regime and the Houthi terrorist militias fully responsible for this escalation and its consequences, warning that the continued use of Yemeni lands, airspace, airports and ports to serve the Iranian scheme threatens Yemen's security, Arab national security, regional security and international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb.

The Coalition called on the Security Council, the United Nations and the countries sponsoring the political process to move from condemnation to deterrence and accountability, to strictly implement resolutions 2140 and 2216, and to activate the international sanctions system against the Iranian regime and anyone supporting the violations of the Houthi terrorist militias.
