Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba held talks with representatives of several international organizations operating in Yemen on the sidelines of the 2026 Hamburg Sustainability Conference, focusing on strengthening cooperation and improving coordination in support of the country's development priorities.
The meeting, attended by Yemen's Ambassador to Germany, Louay Al-Eryani, brought together representatives of Hope Vision, CARE, Save the Children, and Oxfam to review key implementation challenges affecting development projects across multiple sectors. Discussions also explored practical measures to address those obstacles, improve project delivery, and maximize the impact of development interventions.
The participants highlighted the value of sharing successful experiences between the Yemeni government and international organizations, emphasizing the importance of knowledge exchange and the adoption of best practices to enhance joint development efforts and advance shared objectives.
Dr. Al-Zouba underscored the strategic importance of the partnership between the Yemeni government and international organizations in supporting development and recovery initiatives. She praised the contribution of humanitarian and development partners in implementing programs that benefit communities across the country.
