Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaybh on Wednesday discussed in Aden with Deputy Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) office in Yemen Dr. Noha Mahmoud ways to strengthen the implementation of health projects funded by the Pandemic Fund and address challenges affecting their execution.

The meeting reviewed ongoing projects supported by the fund and their role in enhancing Yemen’s health system, particularly in strengthening emergency preparedness and response capacity, improving disease surveillance systems, upgrading laboratory services, and building institutional and technical capabilities.

Dr. Buhaybh emphasized the importance of ensuring that Pandemic Fund-supported interventions deliver sustainable impact and contribute to improving the health sector’s readiness to respond to current and future public health challenges.
