Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mustafa Noman chaired an expanded meeting that included representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Defense and the State Security Service, which was devoted to discussing mechanisms for enhancing coordination and institutional integration between the concerned authorities in a way that contributes to protecting the interests of expatriates and addressing issues related to them.

The meeting discussed ways to develop joint action to confront the challenges facing expatriates, most notably reducing human smuggling and luring young people to conflict areas, by strengthening preventive measures, exchanging information and intensifying coordination between the competent authorities.

The meeting stressed the importance of unifying national efforts to combat human trafficking networks and raise awareness of the risks to which young people are exposed as a result of engaging in armed conflicts outside the country.
