Yemen’s Ambassador to the United States, Jamila Raja, met on Thursday with Robert Palladino, an official in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries across a variety of fields.

The meeting reviewed recent regional developments and a number of issues of mutual interest. The two sides also examined progress achieved by the Yemeni government and advances made in several key areas despite the mounting challenges facing the country.

Both officials stressed the importance of sustaining close coordination and consultation between Yemen and the United States, emphasizing the need to further deepen cooperation in ways that serve shared interests and contribute to efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability while addressing ongoing regional and international challenges.
