The US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin offered his condolences on the death of former President of the Republic Field Marshal Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi.

While conveying his condolences to the late president’s brother Lieutenant General Nasser Mansour Hadi, as well as Brigadier General Nasser Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi and Dr. Yasser Abd-Rabu Mansour Hadi, the US ambassador expressed the sincere condolences and sympathy of the United States to the deceased’s family and relatives, and to the Yemeni people over this painful loss.

Ambassador Fagin recalled the late president’s distinguished national service and his significant contributions to Yemen and its people through the various positions and responsibilities he held throughout his career.

The ambassador noted that the late president led Yemen during an exceptionally difficult and complex historical period, reflecting his commitment to the country’s security and stability and his dedication to serving the Yemeni people. He also highlighted Hadi’s role in strengthening relations between Yemen and the United States across political, economic, and humanitarian fields, as well as his efforts in combating terrorism.
