First Deputy Governor of Taiz, Dr. Abdul Qawi Al-Mikhlafi, met with Development Cooperation Officer, David Nanto, at the German Embassy in Yemen, to discuss cooperation in key sectors, particularly water and agriculture.
The meeting focused on strengthening joint efforts to support Taiz's economic and social development plan, with emphasis on urgent priorities.
Al-Mikhlafi highlighted the province's potential in food security and the impact of war and climate change.
The German representative's visit aimed to assess Taiz's situation and explore areas for cooperation.
Discussions covered enhancing water resources, achieving food security, and expanding partnerships with donors.
The meeting included representatives from relevant authorities, who outlined pressing needs in various sectors.
The German side expressed interest in supporting priority projects and initiatives in Taiz.
