Vice Foreign Minister for Expatriates Affairs Mustafa Noman met on Tuesday in Madrid with Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs Diego Martínez Belío to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation between Yemen and Spain and strengthening ties between the two countries.
The discussions covered recent political developments in Yemen and ongoing regional and international initiatives aimed at ending the conflict and restoring peace and stability. The two officials also exchanged views on issues of shared concern and explored ways to enhance coordination within international institutions.

He urged the international community to adopt stronger measures against the Houthi movement, calling for the group to be listed as a terrorist organization due to its ongoing actions that threaten Yemen’s stability, regional security, and international shipping routes.
Noman also called for Yemen’s inclusion in development and aid programs managed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, saying such support would contribute to humanitarian relief, development initiatives, and strengthening state institutions.
