Minister of Interior praises American support for Yemeni security services

Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan discussed today, Sunday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin joint security cooperation.

General Haidan greatly valued the U.S. significant support to the Ministry of Interior in the border control program, the e-visa project and a number of vital projects that contribute to the development of security services and improve the Ministry's capabilities.

The conversations touched on the security arrangements in the temporary capital Aden and the security plans aimed at reinforcing stability and maintaining security and combating terrorism.

The joint cooperation in training for the personnel of the Ministry of Interior was also addressed.

The U.S. Ambassador confirmed his country's continued support for the efforts of the Yemeni government and the Ministry of Interior in enhancing security and stability, and supporting programs aimed at developing security capabilities and combating terrorism.
