His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met Wednesday with the Economic and Humanitarian Crisis Management Committee, in the presence of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya Mohsen Zindani, who heads the committee.

The meeting included the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Maabqi; Head of the Economic Team, Hossam al-Sharjabi; Minister of Finance Marwan bin Ghanem; Minister of Oil and Minerals Mohammed Bamgaq; Minister of Transport Mohsen al-Amri and Chairman of the Board of Yemen Airways Captain Nasser Mahmoud.

The meeting discussed recent economic, service and humanitarian developments in light of the unprecedented military escalation in the region and its potential repercussions on food supply chains, maritime shipping vessels and the general situation in the country.

The Prime Minister, the Central Bank Governor and committee members provided briefings on the current economic situation, financial and monetary indicators and approved response plans aimed at mitigating the direct consequences of regional security developments—particularly regarding food, medicine, and fuel supplies, as well as prices of essential goods and services.

The briefings included reassuring indicators regarding public finance performance, the status of foreign reserves, and commodity stock levels, which reports indicate remain at safe levels sufficient for a period ranging from four to six months.

During the meeting, President al-Alimi emphasized the priority of protecting livelihoods and the national currency and shielding the country as much as possible from the economic spillovers of the conflict.

He stressed the importance of full readiness to address any potential scenarios in a way that ensures the state continues to meet its essential obligations led by payment of public sector salaries and the uninterrupted flow of essential goods and imports.

The President directed continuous monitoring and updating of economic measures and plans, submission of periodic reports on market indicators and commodity stocks, and close coordination with brothers and international partners to secure waterways, supply chains, and combat terrorism and smuggling in all its forms.

In this context, the President renewed his appreciation for the honorable fraternal positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside the Yemeni people and their political leadership and for its ongoing responses to governmental challenges and priorities at various levels.

This includes new economic support amounting to SAR 1.3 billion to cover public sector salaries and strengthen stability and economic recovery in the country.
