The Republic of Yemen has strongly condemned the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the territories and sovereignty of several sisterly states, calling them a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations and the rules of international law.
In an official statement, the Yemeni government affirmed its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, reiterating its support for all measures taken by these countries to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and stability.
The statement stressed that the security of these nations is an integral part of Yemen’s own security, warning that any infringement upon their sovereignty constitutes a direct threat to the broader Arab system and to the future of regional stability as a whole.
The government held the Iranian regime fully responsible for any escalation threatening regional security, accusing it of pursuing policies aimed at expanding confrontation through its tools and proxies.
It warned that such actions undermine the security of international maritime corridors, threaten global energy supplies, and expose the peoples of the region to the risks of an open war that serves only projects of chaos, sabotage, and terrorism.
The government also warned the Houthi terrorist militias against engaging in any military adventurism in support of the Iranian agenda or attempting to use Yemeni territory as a platform to target neighboring countries or international interests. It emphasized that any such action would constitute hostility against Yemen itself and a direct threat to the interests and national security of its people.
Yemen renewed its call on the international community to adopt a firm stance toward repeated Iranian violations of the sovereignty of UN member states and to work toward deterring any behavior that destabilizes regional security and opens the door to a broader and costly escalation.
The statement concluded by stressing that regional security is a collective responsibility and that stability can only be achieved through respect for state sovereignty, cessation of support for armed militias, and strict adherence to international law.
