Minister of Water and Environment, Tawfiq al-Sharjabi, met with the UNDP Resident Representative, Zina Ahmad, to discuss implementation mechanisms for approved projects, aiming to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in water and environment sectors.
The meeting covered cooperation between the ministry and UNDP, and ways to accelerate project implementation, particularly amidst environmental and climate challenges. Al-Sharjabi highlighted key projects, including climate resilience building, low-emission development strategy, and national adaptation plan.
The minister emphasized the need for coordination between government and implementing agencies to ensure effort integration and optimal resource use.
