The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani received today, Wednesday, a message from the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva.
The message affirmed the IMF's commitment to supporting the government's efforts to boost the necessary policies and reforms to achieve economic stability in Yemen, and to promote stronger, sustainable and inclusive growth.
Georgieva expressed her hope to conclude the Article IV consultations with Yemen in the coming weeks.
She said "An important phase was completed last year with the resumption of the IMF's Article IV consultations with Yemen in October after an 11-year hiatus and we hope to conclude the 2025 consultations in the coming weeks."
