Leadership Council Avows To Take All Measures To Prevent Violations of Yemeni sovereignty

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Yemen has expressed its full solidarity with Kuwait, affirming its support for Kuwait's sovereignty over its maritime areas and water elevations. This comes after Iraq submitted a list of coordinates and a map to the United Nations, which Kuwait says infringes on its sovereignty.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and respecting the sovereignty of states, including the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (1982) and bilateral agreements between Kuwait and Iraq.
