[15/02/2026 04:09]

RIYADH – SABA
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani has affirmed that the international community’s support for the legitimate government is not merely a political stance, but rather an investment in regional stability, the security of international navigation and the fight against terrorism.

He expressed his aspiration for support to move from the phase of crisis management to addressing and ending its root causes, by backing efforts to complete the restoration of the state, end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup, and take firmer measures against practices that undermine opportunities for peace.

This came during a meeting Sunday between the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the German Ambassador to Yemen Thomas Schneider, where they discussed the latest political and economic developments, the priorities of the new government and ways to strengthen international support for stability and peace efforts.

Dr. Zindani reviewed the key features of the government’s urgent program through the end of the current year, which focuses on consolidating economic stability, improving basic services, activating state institutions in liberated governorates, and launching genuine financial, administrative, and oversight reforms to enhance both domestic and international confidence in the government’s performance.

He also highlighted the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting Yemen politically, economically, and developmentally, praising its steadfast positions alongside the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership, as well as its generous support for humanitarian and development programs and peace efforts, reflecting the deep fraternal ties and shared destiny between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The Prime Minister expressed the government’s appreciation for German support provided to Yemen in humanitarian and development sectors, stressing the importance of continuing and enhancing this support during the coming phase in line with the new government’s direction and its efforts to improve services, achieve stability, and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

For his part, the German Ambassador renewed his country’s congratulations to the Prime Minister on the formation of the new government and reaffirmed Germany’s support for its efforts and vision to achieve stability, implement reforms, revitalize the economy, and ease the suffering of Yemenis.

He also emphasized Germany’s commitment to continuing partnership with the government in humanitarian and development fields in a way that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability, and the restoration of the state.
