Tariq Saleh Reviews Phase Priorities, Ways to Strengthen Institutional Development of the Armed Forces with Minister of Defense

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tariq Saleh met today with the Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Taher al-Aqili, to discuss the military priorities for the upcoming phase.

At the beginning of the meeting, Tariq Saleh congratulated Minister al-Aqili on gaining the confidence of the political leadership and on his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General.

He affirmed that the appointment comes at a pivotal historical moment that requires a comprehensive national vision, a high degree of decisiveness and diligent work.

He also pointed to the necessity of enhancing coordination among various national military forces.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council emphasized the Council’s full support for all steps the Ministry of Defense will take to develop the military institution, stressing that the top priority lies in unifying ranks and consolidating efforts to restore state institutions and end the coup. He praised the great sacrifices made by heroes across various frontlines.
