The Speaker of Shura Council Dr. Ahmed bin Dagher met today, Thursday, with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katherine Corm Kammoun.
The talks dealt with the Yemeni-French relations, political and security developments of common interest, the recent events in the Yemeni national arena, underway preparations to hold south-south dialogue conference and the ongoing regional and international efforts aimed to put an end of the conflict in Yemen.
Dr. Bin Dagher stated that the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership are very interested in establishing fair and permanent peace. He blamed the terrorist Houthi militias for repeatedly blocking peace efforts, rejecting all initiatives and good offices aimed to put an end of the Yemeni people's suffering.
The French Ambassador reiterated France's support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership.
She stated that Paris is interested in supporting Yemen's unity, security and stability.
