Yemenia Airways launched Tuesday the new international line linking King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Socotra International Airport, in a qualitative step aimed at enhancing air connectivity and stimulating tourism and economic activity in the Socotra Archipelago.
The Deputy Governor of Socotra Archipelago, Raed Al-Jaribi stressed the importance of launching this line, which represents an important addition that contributes to revitalizing tourism and enhancing the presence of the archipelago as a global tourist destination, due to its natural components and unique environmental diversity.
For her part, Ahlam al-Hamid, Director of the Yemenia Airlines area in Socotra, confirmed that the opening of the Jeddah – Socotra international line is an important qualitative leap for the archipelago.
She expressed its aspiration to open other international lines during the next stage.
