Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani on Wednesday received the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two friendly countries across political, economic, and development sectors.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed prospects for enhancing joint cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests and supports the Yemeni government’s efforts during what was described as an exceptional and critical phase for the country.
Ambassador Sharif congratulated Dr. Zindani on his appointment as Prime Minister and on being tasked with forming a new government, wishing him success in carrying out his national responsibilities.
She underscored the importance of forming the new government, describing it as a pivotal step toward reinforcing political and institutional stability, enabling state institutions to fulfill their roles, addressing citizens’ aspirations for improved living and service conditions.
