The Republic of Yemen participated today, Thursday, in the meeting of central bank governors and finance ministers of the Middle East and North Africa countries, held in Washington, on the sidelines of the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).

Vice Foreign Minister, Mustafa Noman, met with the Norwegian Special Envoy to Yemen Heidi Johansen, and non-resident Ambassador, Kirsti Trosdal, to discuss recent political and military developments in Yemen.
Noman highlighted President Rashad al-Alimi's efforts to restore state institutions in Aden, praising Saudi Arabia's support. Johansen reaffirmed Norway's humanitarian aid and support for civil society organizations to alleviate citizens' suffering and promote stability.
