Minister of State, the Governor of Aden Abdulrahman Sheikh, met today with the Deputy Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen Saeed Harasi to review the activities of international organizations operating in the country and to strengthen the humanitarian response in the temporary capital, Aden.
The meeting discussed the level of interventions by humanitarian organizations and coordination mechanisms with the local authority, in a way that contributes to improving the level of services provided to citizens.
Sheikh affirmed the local authority’s commitment in Aden to creating a suitable environment for the work of international organizations and providing the necessary facilitation to enable them to carry out their humanitarian tasks, in a manner serves the local community.
