The Military and Security Committee in Taiz province has expressed full support for President Rashad al-Alimi's declaration of a state of emergency, citing the need to enhance security and protect national unity and sovereignty.
The committee, chaired by Governor Nabil Shamshan, held an emergency meeting to discuss the military and security situation, with the participation of military and security leaders.
The committee approved measures to implement the state of emergency, including enhanced security deployments, prohibition of carrying weapons in the city, and coordination between military and security agencies.
The committee also emphasized the importance of vigilance, cooperation, and community engagement to protect the province from Houthi threats and maintain stability
