NEW YORK-SABA
The Members of the UN Security Council reaffirmed their support for the efforts of the Special Envoy of the UN for Yemen and their commitment to working toward lasting peace and prosperity for the Yemeni people.

They underlined that the ongoing escalation including the recent developments in Yemen are not conducive to progress, called for de-escalation and encouraged the diplomatic efforts by all parties and regional stakeholders.

They underlined their strong support for efforts aimed at reaching political settlement and putting an end of the Yemeni people suffering.

The Members reaffirmed their strong commitment to the unity, sovereignty, independence of Yemen and its territorial integrity as well as to the Presidential Leadership Council and the by the Houthis

The Security Council Members also reiterated their condemnation in the strongest terms of the ongoing detentions by the Houthis of the personnel from the UN, international and national organizations, non-governmental organizations and diplomatic missions.
They expressed their concerns about the safety and prosperity of the detainees.
