Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Bajash, met with the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen, Yoichi Nakashima, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Dr. Bajash praised Japan's positive and continuous role in supporting Yemen, highlighting the strong historical ties between the two nations and Yemen's high appreciation for Japan's supportive stance.
The discussion focused on Japan's new humanitarian and development aid package to Yemen, valued at $13.8 million, which aims to provide life-saving food assistance, support the UN Verification and Inspection Mechanism, enhance resilience and emergency response, address sustainable water issues.
