Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdulrahman al-Muharrami met l Monday with the Governor of the Central Bank Ahmed Ghaleb al-Maabiqi.
He discussed with him current economic and monetary developments.
Al-Muharrami listened to a detailed explanation from the Governor of the Central Bank about the efforts made to enhance the stability of the local currency exchange rate and improve the living conditions of citizens, in addition to the measures taken to continue economic and financial reforms.
Al-Muharrami reiterated the need for strict implementation of financial reforms and full commitment to supplying all public revenues to the Central Bank in the temporary capital, Aden, to enable the bank to manage monetary policy efficiently and achieve the desired economic stability.
During the meeting, Leadership Council member stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to implement all economic and financial reforms without delay.
He pointed out that this is the only way to address current challenges and restore confidence in the financial system.
