President al-Alimi highly praises Emirati support for electricity in Yemen

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), greatly extoled the active role of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in backing the PLC, the Yemeni government and people, deeply appreciating the Emirati significant contribution to the development and humanitarian actions in different fields.

The President voiced his thanks and gratitude to the Emirati leadership during his talks today, Wednesday, at Ma'shiq Palace in the temporary capital Aden, with the Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Yemen, Mohamed al-Zaabi.

Al-Zaabi informed al-Alimi about the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to assign one billion dollars to support electricity and energy projects in Yemen.

" We're deeply grateful to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE for his noble directives to allocate one billion dollars to support electricity and energy projects in our country", al-Alimi said.

The conversations covered the Yemeni-Emirati bilateral relations and cooperation, developments in the Yemeni national arena and the need regional and international support for the government's ongoing reforms program and efforts to ease the humanitarian suffering created by the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias.
