The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, held today, Wednesday, talks in Moscow, with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Energy and Economic Affairs Alexander Novak.
The two sides discussed current economic developments, ways to support economic stability in Yemen, improve basic services, repair the infrastructure and to pursue actions of the joint ministerial committee tasked with the economic and investments files between the two friendly countries.
They also discussed ways to activate the communication channels between the concerned institutions in the two countries.
The talks also reviewed the prospects of cooperation in the sectors of energy, oil, agriculture, fishery and infrastructure to contribute toward sustainable development and open new horizons for the Russian investments in Yemen.
In this contest, Maj. General al-Zubaidi affirmed that realizing economic stability and improving basic services for our people are top priority.
He noted that there are many promising investment opportunities in our country for partnership with different parties and specialized companies to serve the people interests, open chances for comprehensive development.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister expressed his country's appreciation for the efforts made by Maj. General al-Zubaidi in strengthening bilateral relations, affirming Moscow's keenness to increase the scope of economic and investment cooperation and support development projects in Yemen.
