Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned statements made by Houthi militia leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi, inciting violence against United Nations organizations and their staff operating in Yemen.
In a statement, the ministry described the Houthi's claims of UN espionage as baseless and merely an attempt to justify the militia's ongoing harassment and obstruction of humanitarian work.
The ministry accused the Houthis of politicizing aid efforts and exploiting assistance for political and military gains, adding that this hostile approach poses a serious threat to life-saving programs for millions of Yemeni civilians.
