Yemen participated in the 61st meeting of the Technical Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization (GSO) held in Kuwait, led by the Head of Yemen's Standards and Quality Control Authority, Engineer Hadid Al-Mas.
The two-day meeting discussed the organization's budget proposal for 2026, strategic plan (2023-2026), and various standardization activities.
The council approved 199 Gulf standardization projects, converted 25 technical regulations into standards, and endorsed 7 new technical regulation projects for ministerial approval.
The meeting concluded with recommendations enhancing standardization activities, promoting GCC joint work, facilitating trade, ensuring market accessibility, and removing trade barriers among member states to achieve.
