Minister of State, the Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas discussed Thursday with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Yemen Zeina Ahmed aspects of joint cooperation between Aden and the program in fields of sustainable development.
The two parties discussed supporting infrastructure projects and strengthening the capabilities of local institutions in a way that contributes to improving basic services for citizens.
The Minister of State, Governor of Aden, stressed the keenness of the local authority leadership to create conditions and provide the necessary facilities for the success of the programs and projects implemented by the program in the temporary capital, Aden.
He praised the role he plays in supporting economic stabilization and recovery efforts, led by the Sovereign and Local Revenue Committee, and the leadership of the government and the Central Bank.
For her part, the Resident Representative of the Development Program stressed the program's keenness to continue its partnership with the local authority and implement qualitative projects that reflect citizens' aspirations and contribute to meeting their needs.
