The Director-General of Immigration, Passports, and Nationality, Major General Muhammad Al-Ramli, met with the Political and Military Officer at the US Embassy and the Security Attaché to discuss ways to enhance technical partnership and develop immigration systems.
The meeting reviewed prospects for joint cooperation that would strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries and serve mutual interests and regional and international security requirements.
Both sides praised the ongoing cooperation between the US government and the Yemeni Ministry of Interior, which has yielded tangible successes in modernizing digital systems and developing technical infrastructure related to travel procedures and electronic verification.
Al-Ramli expressed appreciation for the continuous US support, noting that the launch of the e-visa system in Yemen, with direct US support, marks a significant step that reflects the strength of bilateral partnership and paves the way for advanced facilitation and smart services.
