Governor of Hadhramaut, Mabkhout bin Madhi discussed Monday with the Head of the EU Mission to Yemen Gabriel Monera Finales and the Ambassadors of Germany Hubert Jaeger, the Netherlands Jeannette Sieppen and France Catherine Corm-Kamoun support for developmental and economic efforts in the governorate.
The governor reviewed the security, developmental and economic developments in Hadhramaut, emphasizing the importance of enhancing security efforts and combating terrorism, as well as supporting development plans aimed at improving basic services for citizens.
Governor bin Madi explained that the stability of Hadhramaut is a vital pillar for the stability of Yemen as a whole, calling on the international community to intensify support to strengthen security capabilities, combat terrorism, and finance development projects that provide job opportunities for youth and mitigate the effects of war.
The Governor of Hadhramaut praised the support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, appreciating the positions and support of the coalition countries backing legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as their humanitarian, relief, and developmental interventions in the governorate.
For their part, the EU ambassadors praised the local authority's efforts in Hadhramaut to maintain stability and unity, describing it as a model for security and counter-terrorism. They affirmed the EU's commitment to supporting both humanitarian and developmental pathways, contributing to alleviating suffering and supporting the building of state institutions.
