Hadramout Governor Mabkhot bin Madhi discussed today with US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin the latest local developments, counterterror efforts, and ways to enhance support for state institutions in the governorate.
During a video call, Governor bin Madhi reviewed the governorate's situation, the needs of its various sectors, and the importance of international support. He noted the state of security stability the governorate enjoys despite the security and economic challenges facing the country.
On his part, the US Ambassador Fagin hailed the local authorities' efforts in maintaining security, as well as their experience in liberating the Hadramout coast from al-Qaeda nine years ago. He reiterated the commitment to continuing work with partners to promote sustainable development and build the capacity of security services in Hadhramout.
